Magic Lantern

The Magic Lantern was first seen at the EXPO 58 World Exhibition in Brussels. Since then it has been appearing on its home stage in Prague as well as all over the world. The Magic Lantern is a theatre whose secret consists in the original combination of film and stage action. The linking of film with ballet creates a new meaning and a constant search for the further possibilities of this linkage is the essence of The Magic Lantern´s creative effort.

The Magic Lantern currently offers six repertoires: The Wonderful Circus, Odysseus, Casanova, Puzzles, The Trap and Graffiti.

The subjects are well-known and attractive. Their very original and innovative treatment full of poetry is what makes The Magic Lantern the world´s only theatre of its kind.
