Prague is not only a town of important historical and cultural monuments but is also a town world famous for its beer and breweries. The first documentation of Prague´s breweries comes from the end of the 11th century. Beer-making was an important town privilege and economic element. In the middle of the 19th century there were about 60 large and small breweries in and around Prague, nowadays the number is not so important but there are some breweries with the world´s reputation.
You will have an opportunity to visit one the most famous Prague´s breweries, the Staropramen Brewery where you will get all informations about the beer-making in the past and at the present time, you will go down the cellars, you will see all phases from the beginning until the moment you have a delicous product on the table. The tour continue to the pub U Fleků, established in 1499, and the Novoměstský Brewery in the New Town where you will taste another kind of beer.
Note: The Staropramen brewery accepts groups of 5 peoples at least. If your group is smaller, you have to share the visit with another group.
