Around 870: Foundation of the Prague oppidum (Prague Castle nowadays)

965: Ibrahim-in-Jakub, merchant, mentions for the first Prague like a town made of stone and mortar

973: Foundation of Prague bishopric

1070: Foundation of Vyšehrad Chapter

1085: Coronation of the first Bohemian king, Prague becomes his residence

Around 1170: Construction of the Judita´s Bridge (the second stone bridge in Central Europe

Around 1234: Foundation of the Old Town – the first Prague royal quarter

1257: Foundation of Malá Strana – the second Prague royal quarter

1320: Foundation of Hradčany – the third Prague quarter (in 1598 it is upgraded among royal quarters)

1993: Czechoslovakia splits in two parts, Prague becomes the capital of the new Czech Republic
