Open-air museum of folk architecture

Let yourself be enchanted by the folk architecture from the 18th to the 20th century and visit the world long forgotten.

Just one hour drive from Prague is an unique museum of folk architecture where you find buildings brought here from different places of Polabí region. Mannequins in the interiors show life in a village in the 18th - 20th century.

In the open air musem are 33 objects, each of which illustrates everyday life that has disappeared irretrievably. Get to know the folk architecture, learn how the grain was being processed, go to the exposition dedicated to miller, spice, or dairy. Different expositions bring you aspects of life closer, such as everything connected with the birth of the child and his christening, spiritual life or artistic creativity. Surely you will find interesting hunting lodge, forgery, well, bell tower, village school, and the "grandmother's garden" with herbs.

The museum was opened in 1967 and is constantly expanding. Currently it is the fourth largest museum of its kind in Europe (with the exception of the Nordic countries).

Driver and guide will pick you up at the hotel and get you back there or to Prague city center after the excursion.
